Model 910
The Model 910 is a 2" deep, aggressively chambered guitar that is available in mahogany and alder. Along with a maple neck (with rosewood fretboard optional), the 910 has a very "acoustic" and hollow character. With the 910, we have sought to bring the airy, dry, big sound of a Gretsch or Rickenbacker and pair it with the power and solidity of a Telecaster. It chimes, yes! But it is also capable of piano-like depth and resonance, and when used with gain will growl, snarl and sing.
Available in two or three pickup configurations, the 910 is the flagship model for Hahn Guitars and can go from country to rock to jazz or anywhere you want to take it with the flick of the volume knob or pickup selector.
When paired with a thinner neck, like a .84" deep C contour, for example, you can expect less attack and more harmonic complexity and "swirl". When paired with a .95" deep soft V, the 910 bites harder and can get chirpy or stingy in the high end. Either way, you will get an extremely wide sonic spectrum and extreme touch sensitivity and dynamics - you can really dig-in to the 910 and there will be plenty of headroom. Volume and tone knob junkies will really love the 910 - and when you topload or go thru-body with the strings, what you have is an amazing palette for either the soloist or colorist (Bigsby model coming soon!).
Standard on the 910 are: Gotoh/Kluson tuners; bone nut; medium jumbo frets; Hahn cold rolled steel bridge (finished in nitrocellulose lacquer) - standard or low rail; CRL 3- or 5-way switch; Orange Drop capacitor; CTS pots; Hahn compensated brass saddles; Hahn .010" stainless steel neck plate; Hahn stainless steel body ferrules.
The 910 is finished with approximately 25 coats of nitrocellulose lacquer with a total finish thickness of .004".
Final weight of the 910 ranges from 6 1/4 to 7 lbs.
